Support Worker – Community & Homecare | ADL Rehab Ltd | Manchester

ADL Rehab Ltd is looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals to join their team as Support Workers in Manchester, delivering essential community and homecare support to individuals in need.

This role is ideal for those with previous experience in domiciliary care, live-in care, healthcare assistance (HCA), or support work—but applications are also welcome from those new to the field. Full training will be provided.

Successful candidates will demonstrate a caring and respectful attitude, reliability, and excellent communication skills, including fluency in spoken English.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver person-centred care and support tailored to each individual’s care plan
  • Assist with daily living tasks: personal care, washing, dressing, toileting, feeding
  • Support with medication prompts/administration (training provided)
  • Promote independence, dignity, and choice for clients
  • Provide emotional support and meaningful companionship
  • Monitor, report, and record any changes in client wellbeing or safety
  • Engage in behavioural support strategies for individuals with autism or challenging needs
  • Support mobility (transfers, walking aids, hoists)
  • Live-in roles: maintain a clean, safe home environment while offering continuous support
  • Follow all health & safety, infection control, safeguarding, and confidentiality protocols

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in care (domiciliary, live-in, HCA, support worker) preferred – but not essential
  • A caring, respectful and reliable attitude
  • Good communication skills and fluency in spoken English
  • Willingness to travel locally (drivers preferred for domiciliary care roles)
  • For live-in roles: ability to live away from home on rota (e.g., 1-2 weeks at a time)
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Relevant training certificates (desirable, but training provided)
