About the Role
We are recruiting Support Workers to join a brand new care team. To work with a young man who has cerebral palsy and a gastrostomy. He lives at home in the Lincoln area with his Mum. His interests include music technology as he wants to become a Sound Technician. This means he enjoys time on his computer, and would like his team to be tech-savy too! He also enjoys train spotting and holidays in his caravan. He spends time in his garden, so a green thumb will help, and visiting the pub for a meal – all of which you will be supporting.
You will provide support, ensuring his personal care, welfare, rehabilitation, and communication needs are fully met. The role involves working on a rota basis, including days, nights, and weekends, as part of a close-knit and supportive team.
This role offers a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful difference to our client’s life by drawing on your personal and professional experience. You’ll join a supportive and friendly team, with regular supervision and guidance provided by Complexus Care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting personal care and rehabilitation, including physiotherapy and hydrotherapy

- Promoting independence while providing consistent motivation and positivity
- Communicating effectively through sign language (training provided)

The successful candidate will be:
- A confident communicator
- Enthusiastic, positive, and caring, with a strong team player attitude
- Flexible to meet rota requirements and cover shifts in the event of sickness
- A full UK driving licence holder
- Non-smoker
- Experience with spinal cord injuries and working with those with hearing impairments is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
