About the Role:
As a Support Worker at OOJ Homecare Services Ltd, you will play a vital role in assisting our service users with daily living activities. Your compassionate approach and dedication will help enhance their quality of life while supporting their independence.
Duties:
- Assist service users with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance well-being.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times.
- Support service users in engaging with community activities and maintaining social connections.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in health or behavior.
Requirements
- Experience in a similar role within the healthcare or social care sector is preferred.
- Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with service users and families.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting when necessary.
