As a Support Worker, you will play an essential role in helping young people build confidence, develop life skills, and work towards personal goals. The position involves providing practical and emotional support, promoting safety and wellbeing, and maintaining accurate documentation to ensure high-quality care.
To succeed in this role, you should have at least 12 months of experience working with young people and be confident in managing challenging situations with professionalism and empathy. Strong communication and people management skills are essential, enabling you to motivate, engage, and support young people effectively. You will also need good IT skills to complete reports, maintain records, and follow internal systems.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Worker to join our expanding team. As a Support Worker will work closely with the Support Manager to run effectively our Supported Accommodation for Young People.
About the Role
Some of the key responsibilities are the following:
- Ensure a high-quality service is delivered to young people and stakeholders at all times.
- Write and implement Support Plans and Risk Assessments.
- Develop and maintain relationships with young people and their families, and engage with local agencies and community.
- Organise and coordinate all young people’s activities and appointments within set timeframes.
- Carry out direct work with Young people including key-working and generally taking an active part in their daily lives.
- You may be required to take on other responsibilities as the needs of this growing business change.
About the Ideal Candidate.
- Hold NVQ/QCF Level 3 Caring for Children and Young People or equivalent.
- Have at least 12 months’ experience working with young people.
- Excellent people management and communication skills in order to effectively manage risks and motivate young people to achieve their goals.
- Good IT and documentation skills.
- Ability to be creative in order to organise fun and learning activities with young people.
- Be required to provide enhanced disclosure and satisfactory references.
