Position: Support Worker
Job Type: Full Time
Salary: £14.40 – £14.50 per hour
Location: Brighton
Job Description
Are you someone who enjoys making a difference while sharing laughter and positivity along the way? Our client is a vibrant 26year old man living with cerebral palsy, whose resilience, humour and outlook on life inspire everyone around him. He loves spending time with friends, exploring art and getting out and about for social activities and he’s looking for the right person to support him in living life to the fullest.
This rewarding role is varied and personal. You’ll be providing care and hygiene support, assisting with moving and handling and helping with medication and therapy routines. There’s also an important element of organisation, with record-keeping and administration being part of the role. Just as meaningful, you’ll be by his side for social outings and activities, sometimes even accompanying him on trips or holidays.
Requirements
We’re looking for someone who brings both experience and commitment. A minimum of six months’ recent experience in a care setting is ideal though we do provide full comprehensive training. We also require you to have a full, clean UK driving licence. Good communication and writing skills will help you in supporting not only our client but also his wider care network. The role is based in a welcoming family home with cats, so being comfortable around pets is important and as this is the client’s preference, non-smokers will be prioritised.
Benefits
In return we can offer you great pay rates from £14.40 per hour and excellent staff benefits. We have a number of roles available for days and nights.
If you’re kind, reliable, and ready to be part of a young man’s journey filled with positivity, art, and community, we’d love to hear from you.
Please note, we can only consider anybody who does not require sponsorship. We are committed to safe, fair recruitment and ensuring all staff are vetted, trained and supervised to the highest standards.
