Support Worker – Orchard Care Homes

We are seeking caring and committed individuals to join our team as Support Workers within our Dementia care service. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care and who is looking to build a rewarding career in the health and social care sector.

Applicants should hold an NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Health and Social Care and must have at least six months of experience working in a Dementia care setting. Strong communication skills, patience, compassion and the ability to remain calm in demanding situations are essential. We value individuals who can form positive relationships with residents, understand their emotional needs, and work confidently during night-time shifts.

Location: Langfield Care Home- Wood Street, Langley, Middleton, Greater Manchester, M24 5QH

Salary: £14.64 per hour

Schedule/Hours: Full & Part-time available – Night time shifts

Pay Rates:

NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care: £13.81per hour

NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care: £14.64 per hour

Are you passionate about supporting individuals with mental health needs to live empowered, fulfilling lives? If you hold an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care and have at least 6 months’ experience in a Dementia care setting , we’d love to hear from you.

As a Specialist Support Worker, you will help us to ensure that people are treated with respect and dignity. Your approach will be empathetic, compassionate, and focused on ensuring that the lives of residents are fulfilled and meaningful.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Building meaningful relationships with residents and their families
  • Support people to participate in appropriate leisure activities and activities of daily living, normalising life as much as possible with joy and happiness.
  • Providing personal care with empathy and sensitivity
  • Receive tailored dementia training to enhance your skills and the lives of those you will support.
  • Collaborating with a passionate, multidisciplinary team
