Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalised patient care, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing
  • Assist with medication administration following prescribed protocols

  • Provide behavioural management and emotional support for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s, or other cognitive impairments
  • Assist with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Support clients with mobility and transportation needs, including driving when required
  • Observe and report changes in health or behaviour to relevant healthcare professionals
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures when necessary

Requirements

  • Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home care, hospice care, or home care is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of learning disability
  • Valid driving licence preferred for transportation duties
  • Certification in first aid is advantageous
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks safely when required
