About the Role
At Real Life Options we provide person centred support to enable the PWS to live the life that they choose. Support is uniquely tailored to each individual, ensuring they have choice and control over the planning and delivery of their support. You will support them to reach their potential by providing both physical and emotional support, along with encouraging them to develop positive relationships and achieve their goals.
This role will involve working in supported living and day services across Dunfermline and West Fife. As a whole they consist of 11 separate properties. The individuals we support have varied levels of verbal communication, autism, and epilepsy. It would be advantageous if you have previous experience of working with adults with challenging behaviour, although this is not essential, as full training will be provided and Real-Life Options will put you through the SVQ 2/3.
What You’ll Do
- Support individuals with personal care, medication, cooking, and household tasks
- Encourage social interaction with friends, family, and community events and promote independence
- Communicate with medical professionals and implement support plans and risk assessments
- Maintain clear and accurate records of support provided
- Communicate effectively with the team, family members
- Work independently and as part of a supportive team
Shift Patterns
Shift patterns are generally 08:00am-3:00pm and 3:00pm to 10:00pm. Sleepover shift – 24hr shift: 3pm -3pm (sleeping 11pm – 7am )
