Salary: £20,522 – £23,007

Job Type: Part Time

About the Role

Salary: NJC 12-19 £27,711 – £31,067 (FTE) £20,522 – £23,007 (Actual Salary) + well-being cash plan + pension scheme (LGPS) + additional Lift Schools benefits

Hours: 32 per week, 39 weeks per year (Term time + Inset days)

Contract: Permanent

Unity City Academy is seeking a Teaching Assistant to work in partnership with teachers to improve the learning and attainment of students in the ‘Base’ while also promoting their independence, self-esteem and social inclusion. The role provides support to students so that they can access the curriculum, participate in learning and experience a sense of achievement.

Main Duties

You’re someone who’ll be able to:

  • Support and adapt learning for pupils in any phase.
  • Be robust, resilient and take pride in helping students who can sometimes find school life challenging.
  • Be flexible, positive and compassionate.

Qualifications

You’re someone who has:

  • Have experience working with young people.
  • Level 2 functional skills Maths and English or GCSE grade C/4 and above.
  • Passion and enthusiasm for working with young people.
  • Trained in/or willing to complete Teaching Assistant training
