Position: Support Worker/Carer

Salary: £11 -£13.00 an hour 

Job Type: Full Time/Part Time/Fixed term contract/Temp to perm/Zero hours contract

About the Role

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in need. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Main Duties

  • Assist individuals with daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication reminders
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals
  • Monitor and report any changes in behavior or health status
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
  • Implement behavior management strategies as directed by supervisors
  • Collaborate with case managers and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care provided

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar role, such as support worker, senior support worker or care assistant, is preferred
  • Desirable qualification in NVQ level 2 or 3.
  • Ability to handle challenging behaviours with patience and empathy
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Driving License (preferred)
