About the Role

The Graduate Drilling Well Engineer is responsible for providing well engineering and operations support in well delivery projects for one or more rigs including preparing Well Proposals, Basis of Designs, Well Programs (Drilling, Completion, Workover), AFE’s and End of Well Reports. Be part of the field operations drilling team when required and support critical operations at the wellsite.

Main Duties

  • Perform offset well analysis
  • Prepare the Basis of Design and follows the execution of programs technically
  • Perform casing and tubing design including using company engineering software
  • Prepare Well Drilling Programs and Operations Readiness reports.
  • Prepare well operations procedures e.g. Casing running and cementing
  • Prepare well time estimates and AFE’s.
  • Participate in the selection and evaluation of service companies, suppliers and equipment.
  • Ensure proper communication with relevant parties (client, segments, third parties, etc)
  • Participate in cost control of programs, vs AFE by analyzing solutions. Optimizes the well design and perform cost benefit analysis.
  • Participate in Safety activities and HEMP programs
  • Prepare End of well reports, and ensures lessons learned and captured and are incorporated into the next basis of design and/or drilling program

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Technical Degree in Engineering or the Physical Sciences.
  • Candidate should not be more than Twenty Seven (27) years of age as at the time of application.
  • Work experience not mandatory, Maximum of 3 years work experience,
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and pick up new skills.
  • Good understanding of health, safety, and environmentally compliant work environments.
  • Ability to work well in multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation skills.
